Fulton Market Burger Co

So I have been hearing great things about Fulton Market Burger company in Sherwood Park and thought to try it.
First thing you have to know about the joint is that it has a different but incredibly easy ordering system. Instead of gawking and awkwardly standing at the counter in a regular burger place were you try to decide if you want the mushy excuses of lettuce and tomato on your burger, Fulton asks that you fill out a menu card and then give it to the counter when you are satisfied. On the card it is broken up into Hot Off the Grill, From the Oven, Fresh Market Toppings, Deluxe, Supreme as well as making it a Combo and Great Additions. Then on the second side of the card is pre-made Tantalizing Burger Creations which include a list of 7 that can satisfy the inner carnivore or a spice fix. Back to my burger, I chose to build my own burger- naturally- and knew I could make the burger of my dreams based on limited ingredients they provide.

My selection as follows:
-1/3 Lb Prime Rib Burger
-Classic bun
-Garlic Herb Mayo
-Ketchup
-Pickles
-Mustard
-Button Mushrooms
-Caramelized Onions
-Onion Rings
-Vanilla Milkshake

From there you wait about 5-10 minutes to get your order. First came my vanilla milkshake with whipped cream (what’s a milkshake without whipped cream?). Now I am quite plain jane when it comes to my milkshakes but I do know a good vanilla milkshake for another and this one was good. It was smooth and consistent with no awful clumps of frozen ice, just a good solid milkshake. Shortly after my order came out and it smelled delectable. I am an absolute sucker for the all-American burger with onion rings and shake, so you can imagine my excitement when I opened my bag with big golden onion rings sitting up on the top. The problem with onion rings is that they often get soggy, or the actual onion inside the ring is questionable. These onion rings were perfect, maybe I just got a perfect batch, but they were crispy with just the right amount of battering covering the onion. My only complaint is that they went more for size of the onion ring than quantity, the more rings the better in my opinion. My bag had only about 8 rings with large ones making the bag seem fuller then it is.

Now for the burger. It was tasty-cakes. Everything i wanted on the burger without getting a messy gloop of vegetables falling out. The mushrooms were actual mushrooms, the caramelized onions provided just the right amount of sweetness and balanced by the tangy sharpness of the pickle slices. Mustard and ketchup are impossible to screw up except for portion size on the actual burger and for my taste I could have used a tinge more mustard but that’s ok. Now the garlic herb mayo was awesome. Normally I despise mayo, but this was remnant of an aoli and a perfect complement for my burger. The burger itself didn’t taste like sawdust filling and fake meat but like an actual burger. Whether it was an actual prime rib burger or just ground up variety meat, it still tasted good. I admit, I devoured that burger, in like 5 minutes.

Overall I was a pretty happy girl after destroying my burger and dignity while meat juices spilled down my face like a boss. Fulton Market Burger Company will definitely be getting a visit from me again.

The onion ring sized usually depends on the person. MOST of the people Fulton has working in the kitchen fill the bag up until they are falling everywhere! :) lol

Also it really is prime rib, and the 1/2 pounds are a prime rib and sirloin combination
Anyways thanks for giving a good review! I love where I work and I often have to hide when devouring my juice and delectable burgers :P
